On the 1st,  Tusk has Schreger lines, no lines = not tusk.  I think it is just highly polished bone.

The 2nd has interesting texture like alligator jaw/skull or tillybone.  The shape does not remind me of any fossil I have seen/found.

  • I found this Informative 2

Ten four man I appreciate it very much @Shellseeker let me know If I post anything you are interested in. Heck I would even send you a fossil for helping me out so much. I am not only new to fossils, but this is also the first forum I have ever been a part of. Your knowledge is very impressive as is alot of folks in here.

Hey Jack/Fossilnoodlechamp, saw this thread last night and ran out of time. I like the possible tillybone ID. I think I see remains of a basic symmetry and an attachment point which shows up in some and a bone texture that is similar to a few that I have....took me a while to find some photos for comparison sake. someday with more time I'd like to learn more about their origins/creations/owners......here are some so so photos...someday I'll take better ones and remove the coin scale...I now see dark raised spots on the last one which I dont recall seeing before....

Very nice thought.  I have been helped all my fossil life by more experienced fossil enthusiasts. I enjoy my time on this forum paying it forward.

Different experts have different styles. I tend to get out over my skis in reaching for an identification. I just dislike seeing a request for help with no response.

Chris,

Your Tilly is perfection. Saving the photos for future reference/use.
