THX for posting this

Yes, he has the image of someone very kind.

He is the perfect representation of what the term vocation is. His passion for fossils began at the age of six and. His friends called him Coco le fossile.

At the age of fourteen, while excavating in a site with pottery shards he understood he will passed his adult lire digging for fossils.

Part of a great tradition, thinking Teilhard de Chardin, or Marcellin Boule

A great loss for the scientific community and all of humankind

edit: I grew up with Cousteau's documentaries, and he has been instrumental in my getting interested in (paleo)oceanography

We REALLY need those inspirational figures, who are larger than life and taught us about nature

Anyone else hoping Sir David will live to be 121 years of age?

Speak for yourself. The avatar brings plenty of fond memories of winter fossil hunting in Minnesota !!!!!

Reminds me of Snowpocalypse 2022 here in Washington State in January..  The pic is what I had to deal with on the walk home from work that morning.
