Jo-and-Ho
Found this fossil on Amelia Island, Florida. Can some help identify? We are new to fossil hunting but I’m thinking the edge of a turtle shell?
Plantguy
Neat coloration! The shape and the alternating glossy bands/ridges look more like a fragment of a very worn porcupine fish tooth plate to me... Have fun collecting more! A couple of pictures for comparative purposes... Regards, Chris Edited June 23 by Plantguy removed extra pic

It could be an example photo appropriate to attaching to a fossil ID requests for small fossils
