Howdy! Chiseled this out of a rock today. I thought it was a coral at first, but not quite sure now. The final picture is a cross section of the inside. Thanks in advance.

You were right! It's from the extinct order Rugosa, or the "horn corals".

It's most likely Stereostylus sp., a common solitary rugose coral in Pennsylvania.

I think you're spot on! I just found this picture of Stereostylus and looks a lot alike.

I am in this camp as well.  I have a few dozen I found in my area as well.
