Hey Guys,

My friend has these 5 Madagascar dinosaur teeth from an old collection that he wants to ID.

They’re all from the Jurassic Isalo III formation.

Thanks for all the help!!!

Here are some pictures and sizes:

Left tooth 14mm

Middle 15mm

There are no theropods described from the ISALO IIIb Formation basically everything is indeterminate. .   A 2005 paper by Cau et al. tries to describes some morphologies that can be assigned to a group, family or are indet.  I can try to see if your teeth can be described to one of those Morphs but will need lots of information on each especially serration density on both carina and more photos as indicated in the illustration.   No guarantees.

So if  you are interested please provide me ALL the following:

Final thought do you have a location where these were found?  Are you sure they are from that deposit?   The issue I have with material from Madagascar is the accuracy of the provenance that they were sold under.
