Therizinosaur egg .....?

Recommended Posts

This is for sale on a local auction site.... I get a bit of an off feeling about it and feel like it's some sort of fake (it looks plastic) but it's definitely worth asking the question from those that know about dinosaur eggs.

The auction title says it is a million year old Therizinosaur egg fossil - yep, seriously.
There is zero provenance, so how the seller knows what family of dinosaurs it belongs to surprises me. Based on the title, the seller knows nothing about it either.
Seller admits it was a garage sale find, in the listing there is a page worth of info about dinosaurs but nothing specific about this "egg".

Very fake egg.  A typical example of one to avoid that has made several lists of commonly faked eggs
