Kane
What is "liberal" Kansas? I don't understand that as a geologic term. 1 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
grandpa
It is a city in Kansas. Liberal, Kansas. Strange name for a city in Kansas, I know, but it is what it is.
FossilNerd
Looks like a concretion to my eye. 2 The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it. -Neil deGrasse Tyson Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't. -Bill Nye (The Science Guy)
Brit021
So do I break it open and if so how? Also I looked up some pics and thought it Lila looked like a cap on with a larvae fossil but I know nothing about fossils
Mark Kmiecik
Some concretions formed around organic matter, most didn't. Crack it open by tapping the edge with a hammer. However, on this specimen, I would simply leave it as-is in my collection. Most fossil-bearing concretions tend to be flatter than this. Mark.
