Hey there I found this in a creek in south central Tennessee. I feel like it’s definitely a fossilized dinosaur tibia with webbed feet??? Or maybe has been shaped like this naturally?? Please help? Thanks in advance!!

By the way it is 28.4 lbs and about as long as my arm. Maybe a foot and half long!

Shaped naturally, looks like river/water worn limestone. Limestone makes some incredibly suggestive shapes. Still, would make a nice garden stone. I’ve picked up plenty with wild shapes for just that purpose.

That is really cool. Unfortunately, it's not bone. A tibia, from any animal, is straight. They don't have 30 degree bends.

Mark.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
