Is this a tooth fragment and if so what is it from possibly judging by size? About 1 inch long. Found in horse shoe canyon Alberta

I'm not an expert but I'm not seeing recognizable shape or enamel for a tooth however it could be bone or wood hard to tell from pictures. If you can get clear close ups and end shots it would be helpful.

Try different lighting and angles, need to see if its enamel on the one side.  Can you cleanup the backside.
