GarethGP
Does it look like a Kimberella fossil negative, or is it something else?
Rockwood
I think that's probably something else.

oilshale
This is certainly not Kimberella. Kimberella is preserved as a three dimensional fossil with a depression in the center while this fossil is perfectly flat. Where does the fossil come from? It looks a bit like fossils from the Doushantou Formation in China. Edited July 31, 2022 by oilshale 1 Be not ashamed of mistakes and thus make them crimes (Confucius, 551 BC - 479 BC). PR0GRAM
Very late reply, but yes this is not a Kimberella as stated by others. This is from the Doushantuo Formation in China. Based on morphology it is most likely a partial example of Tawuia dalensis.
