FF7_Yuffie
Hi, Any thoughts on this? It is from Garfield, County, Montana. 1.8 cm so it's quite small. The serrations are a bit battered and have matrix stuck on them, but are present. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The white marks, am I right that this is from plant roots wrapped around the tooth? Thanks
Troodon
Correct the white marks are root etchings. What you have is the business end of a Tyrannosaurid tooth, its missing a portion of the base end. Unfortunately its the base that is needed to ID this tooth. Its robustness suggests T rex but nothing to take to the bank on a partial tooth. An indeterminate tyrannosaurid. 1 1 1
