dingo2
Found a peculiar bone in the upper HSCF this weekend and am unsure of what it is. I occasionally find marine material, but for the most part the area is all terrestrial dinosaur fossils. What could it be?

debivort
I could see it falling within the variety of forms of cretaceous oyster I found in Portugal:
jpc
If this is a bone, look into theropod astragalus, but it certainly as oysterish look.
PaleoNoel
Strange bone, could it be some weird fish skull element? Certainly a hard call.
dingo2
The suggestions that have been made so far are pretty well in line with what I had considered. I'd seen pictures of astralagus bones and the like in diagrams and this somewhat reminded me of that. I had also thought ear bones, but that's probably because I'm not that familiar with what they look like. After more consideration though, I'm leaning towards marine/oyster. This fossil has a similar preservation and feel to what I've seen in bivalves in nearby areas in the same formation.
