scragry
Hi, I happen to have bought this fossil this morning but can’t seem to identify it, from the way it looks, it seems to be a mollusk but has ridges near the base where it connects to the matrix. Fossildude19
No information about where it was found? That makes it harder to pinpoint an age/ID. Looks like an internal cast (Steinkern) of a bivalve of some sort. Internal casts can be difficult to identify, due to the lack of identifying features. 1 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Sorry, pretty much no information, the only thing I did find with it was a whole bunch of broken Native American pottery pieces, but besides that, that’s pretty much it
JohnJ
It is suggestive of a highly eroded Trigonia species. 1 1 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ
