Is this just a nodule inside another nodule ?? Looks like is wraps around its self but I can’t see any markings of any kind

Where it was found (formation) would be much obliged, along with the age of the rock.

Sorry I can’t answer; it was a random rock in a puddle found at staithes beach, UK… 

 

thought I would give it a tap and found this egg shape thing inside. It seems to have at least two layers 

 

ps I’m not suggesting it’s an egg ;)

That's alright! Staithes beach is probably good enough for an identification.

If you post different viewpoints of the interest, it might be helpful.

Looks like these are Jurassic marine sediments. Perhaps nautiloid shell ?

I think it's what the OP has already guessed. A concretion in a concretion. Sorta like the Russian Babuschka dolls.
