This was found in Eastern Kentucky in the creek behind my house.

Carboniferous.

 

I think it might be astertophyllites. Is this correct?

Thanks, somehow I didn't get hit too hard. It got around my car and in my front yard one night. Lucky the few people I do know that got water in their homes, didn't get much. It's an unfortunate situation for so many.
