Top Trilo Posted August 11, 2022 Share Posted August 11, 2022 I believe your ammonite is a real ammonite but the inner lines are carved. Its a very common practice for these. Tidgy's Dad Posted August 11, 2022 Share Posted August 11, 2022 To begin with, there wouldn't have been all that much more of the ammonite than you can see on the reverse. The prepping is massively heavy-handed and over the top, but the Moroccan preppers will argue they sell more like this, and they're probably right, annoying to the connoisseur though it is. 1 Life's Good!
