Nautiloid
Hello all! Today I met up with my good friends @Dean Ruocco and @KompsFossilsNMinerals to collect a couple of Hamilton Group sites in Central NY. The first site we went to was the famous Deep Springs Road site, and then we hit a second location for a little while afterwards. All around it was a good day of collecting, with everyone having success in the trilobite department.
Nautiloid
Here are a couple of Eldredgeops rana specimens from DSR. The first one is a large roller. The second is a pretty unusual specimen, a ventral cephalon displaying the hypostome.
KompsFossilsNMinerals
It was great to finally meet you in person! I’ll post some pictures of my finds tomorrow when I get around to taking them out of the back of the car. Nautiloid
Here’s a nice partial Dipleura dekayi. This is probably the best example of this species I’ve found.
Nautiloid
Here’s a really unusual bug which I’m super excited to have found! This is a Monodechenella macrocephala from DSR. I’ve never heard of these bugs being found in the Windom Member before, so this one must be a total anomaly.

FossilDAWG
DSR is one of my favorite sites, and you guys definitely had some good luck. Did you manage to get the rest of the cephalon from that Monodechanella? Don

Unfortunately, I found the Monodechenella just laying in one of the scree piles, and I wasn’t able to find the rock containing the rest of the cephalon.
