Carcharodontosaurus

Recommended Posts

Hi. I've just received this Kem Kem huge partial theropod vertebra (just the process) and I just wanted to know whether it's possible to ID? Was told Spinosaurid is likely but could also be Carch. Thanks in advance.

Nice one! I'd say Spinosaurid but we should wait and see what the experts think.

I posted a similar one earlier this year and the consensus was Spinosaurid. I originally thought it was Sauropod because it was so big.

Pretty sure that's Spinosaurid. A dorsal neural arch. Those asymmetric ridges on one of the sides of the neural spine I think those are specific to spinosaurids.
