CrazyRockLady Posted August 24, 2022 Share Posted August 24, 2022 Could you perhaps an additional photo more zoomed in would help to see the details better? From what can be seen it more resembles shell segments overlapping one another, like snake scales. Also, fern fossils lay flat on the matrix conforming to the shape of the rock layer they're lying on.
