Is this a conulariid? Found this weird imprint in the same rock as some brachiopods. Found armored fish bone, crinoids, corals, and bryozoans.

when I check the ribs, how they go I do not think its a conulariid. Have some ideas in my brain what it could be, but the pics does not show all the details my brain needs :)

Can you do one or two more pics with light from top and left hand side to see the ribs better? thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

Found these at the Nike Missile site in Waukesha Wisconsin. I found a chunk of armored fish bone in the same area. This is an update on my last post with the moss cleared off more. Thanks!

Agreed. Conulariids tend to have a kind of herringbone pattern, whereas your piece appears to have an arcing pattern.

Your topics have been merged.  Please keep any "updates" about the same fossil in the original topic.  Thanks.  :)
