Hiya everyone I Recently bought this starfish fossil (it hasn’t arrived yet) any help with an id would be great I’m assuming it’s from the English coast as the seller selling it was getting rid of a collection of all British fossils.

cheers

Not sure on species but if it’s real and definitely British then there’s a good chance that it came from Eype on the Dorset coast

Yeah I know a majority come from that region, but I’d definitely say it’s British from the collection the collector had, I believe a lot of the fossils were bought in Dorset, as for if it’s real I couldn’t see any red flags but maybe someone could help there as well.

Palaeocoma egertoni from Eype.

Thanks quite happy with it as it seems quite a large one from the area
