Mochaccino
Hello, Some help with another unidentified piece please. The seller's label is "Crinoid (?) - central Indiana, Mississippian ~340 mya", but I don't see any ossicles or radial symmetry. A flattened brachiopod perhaps? Measures ~2cm. Fossildude19
This looks like a fish scale, to me. fifbrindacier
Hi, all i can say is that's neither a crinoid nor a brachiopod. connorp
Looks fishy to me too, but hard to say more with the pictures provided.
Mark Kmiecik
I'm leaning towards fish scale. Lungfish scales are close to rectangular quite often. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
Mochaccino
@Fossildude19 @fifbrindacier @connorp @Mark Kmiecik Thanks all, I think it does have resemblance to fish scale. Definitely no crinoid.
