Chris41
Hi found these while digging foundations. Good quality solid clay base down to at least 2 meters deep. We came across a hard object within the soft clay. This is what we pulled out. My hand for scale, the big one looks like a bone to me? Though I have no idea tbh. debivort
The top two specimens are the impression of an ammonite, and a section of ammonite whirl (2 different species). The large piece looks like a rock to me, but others should weigh in.

A nice one as well. it’s the large one that’s slightly strange as it’s so large and found in isolation with these other fossils. The clay base was clean and absolutely devoid of anything other than clay until we excavated this section. They all came out together in a small area 400-400 (mm) square. Also there was more of the ‘ammonite whirl’ but after first uncovering it I thought it was made of concrete so threw it in the skip!
fifbrindacier
The largest one could also be a piece of ammonite : i see the presence of a siphuncle but i'm not sure. Maybe @Uncle Siphuncle could shime in ? Edited September 3, 2022 by fifbrindacier 1 "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."
