I'm learning something new every time I visit this forum So Im guessing that the shape inside is not remaining of an animal/plant but just a forming matter, which color and composition differ from the initial and final forming matter. Some do form around organic matter. (Google "Mazon Creek fossils" or "Washington state crab fossils") Most don't. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
