Can I buy and export fossil souvenirs in Jordan?

Hello, next week I will be traveling to Jordan. I read that Jordan is rich in fossils and I would like to buy some of them for my collection. I'm afraid I'll have problems at the airport. Can you tell me if exporting some small fossils from Jordan is legal?

 

I searched and read the institutional websites, but I did not find any bans, but I am not sure I investigated well.

You should also check with customs in Italy to see if importing them is legal.
