Santa Margarita formation collecting sites

Are there any Santa Margarita fm fossil sites that are still open/able to be collected from in and around the SF Bay Area? I want to try and hunt from the formation but all the classic sites, like bean creek, are now closed for collecting.

I used to go to four different sites - all posted or gated off now.  A couple of people have asked me about Miocene sea urchins.  Are they a hot collectible now?

Publishing hunting locations online (that are not fossil parks or very well publicized sites) is the best way to have them exploited and/or closed to collecting.  Treating them with discretion is good stewardship.  Consider making your inquiries privately.
