Pleistocene bone ID

I think it IS a mammoth astragalus.  I have only a mastodont astragalus to compare.  The mastodont bone is considerably larger, so I suspect your find is from a younger mammoth.  There are many more fossil elephantoid teeth than astragali to be found.
