LukasVL
We recently found what could be a gator or croc tooth but don’t quite know. Found that one at the coast of surf city in North Carolina. Could someone identify this for me? Thanks in advance!

In Florida, I see a lot of Alligator teeth....I do not think this is Croc or Gator, but just an impression. I do not like the overall shape and the core seems different .. @Al Dente 1 The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"
Fin Lover
I agree that the shape is off, but the pics are also pretty dark, so it is hard to see any detail. Here is a gator tooth from SC, which is a more consistent cone shape than the OP's. Fin Lover My favorite things about fossil hunting: getting out of my own head, getting into nature and, if I’m lucky, finding some cool souvenirs. LukasVL
Thanks for your opinions. Guess we’ll show it to some local over here as well. Awesome teeth you’ve got!

The oval shape of the base looks like mosasaur, but I’ve never heard of Cretaceous fossils being found around Surf City. Most of the fossils there are Oligocene.
