Tolmanbridge
I was going through a number of common Otodus teeth for sale at a local rock show and found one with large serrations on the sides. Doing a little research showed two types of serrated shark teeth from Morocco. Otodus sokolovi and Palaeocarcharodon orientalis. The tooth is 3 1/2 cm long on the diagonal. Sorry for the poor photo. My camera isn't the best but you can make out the serrations. Can anyone identify this?

Praefectus
The picture is blurry and it is hard to make out the details, but the serrations are consistent with Paleocarcharodon orientalis.
FossilDAWG
When I first saw the second photo I thought I was looking at a snake with its mouth wide open. Don
Tolmanbridge
Thanks everyone. I kind of was leaning that way as well. The quality of the tooth isn't very good and usually I wouldn't have purchased it but I thought something looked different. I read that Paleocarcharodon orientalis are usually quite small. Is 3 1/2 cm considered small? There is only a partial cusplet on one side and it looks like nothing left on the other.
Harry Pristis
This one is about 55 mm . . . I've not seen larger. http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
