Found this in northeast Nevada on the surface during a survey. Believe to be Miocene or older.

Possibly a carpal or tarsal?

It was found in northeast Nevada while doing a paleontological survey. Most of the rock types we have encountered were Miocene in age.

Isn't this the same one you posted yesterday?

TOPICS MERGED.  One is enough.  ;)

Sometimes, patience is required.

Not sure there is enough there, or if it is well preserved enough to hazard much of a guess on this.

Doesn't look like the fossil bone I am used to seeing here on the Forum.

Well, I tried t get more pics of fossil since no one liked the other ones. I am pretty sure it is a fossil, but not one I am familiar with. I was thinking it was a carpal or tarsal. It was found in northeast Nevada and the age is estimated to be Miocene. We have found horse, camel, rhinoceros, and oreodont on this field work.
