Fossildude19
The large one looks like a chert nodule. The smaller one looks like a recent "brain" coral. From someone's aquarium, perhaps. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Fossildude19
Chert is a hard, cryptocrystaline type rock, like flint. Usually used for flint-knapping. (Blue text = clickable link) Fossils can be found in it sometimes, but usually do not split out well. Chert is very, very common in Missouri.
