Love to hear your comments. Some of green apple jadeite and others test as if white sapphire.  Black test as if also corundum

Which one do you think is a turtle shell?

I'm sorry, but all I see is what look like chunks of quartzite and limestone.

corundum is much more likely than turtle pieces as none of these look anything like turtle fossils that are abundant in the states directly east of you.

Do you know what a fossil turtle shell looks like?  This one is oligocene in age but they have not changed over millions of years.  Check out the detail and structure.  How does this one compare at all to those rocks you are showing?

This is once again a study in pareidolia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia

This is not a fossilized turtle flipper nor does it give any indication of being any type of recognizable fossil. While we enjoy helping folks identify fossil (and non-fossil) material brought here to the forum, I don't believe there is much more to add to this one as there is nothing more to add to the identification as a quartzite cobble. Further discussion of this topic will not change the diagnosis nor will it change the mind of the OP and so this topic too will come to an end here.

Cheers.
