Hi all,

Interested in getting any input you have on this fossil from Bayan Dzak, Red Beds of Alag Teg, Omnogov Mongolia. Thought to be a terminal tail club ossicle from Pinacosaurus.

Typical osteoderm I've seen sold from the Djadochta Formation.  I think it's from an  Ankylosaurid, difficult to point this one to Pinacosaurus but that's what sellers like to call ankylosaurian material from there.   Multiple Ankylosaurid exists in the Djadochta.  Hard to say what part of the body it's from but a guess would be from the tail given the shape of the ventral side.  Looks very nice.
