I found these in Washington County Maryland (live in Central PA) while staying at an Airbnb. They were lying in and around a small creek. I've never seen anything like these before. I kept thinking they were peices of wood but was surprised to find them to be rocks when I picked them up. I also found this large peice of quartz? I have no idea so what do you all think?

Last one is very probably a piece of quartz quartz.

I also got the slag vibe for the dark ones, but I am not totally sure. Overall texture is a little bit strange, but it looks somewhat glassy with incipient flow texture. I can see also some tiny bubbles?

@Mnopali, would you like to break off a small piece from one of the dark specimen and show us the interior? You may also try a streak test - scratch the fresh break along some rough porcelain, like the underside of a toilet tank.

Can you take some more pictures of the second item from different angles in more light?

Are there lots of small bubbles in the fresh break? I think, I can see some.
