Hello knowledgeable folks,

 

Found this bovine tooth roots up in mud on the shoreline of the San Francisco Bay. Assumed it was modern cow because if the attached stylid and size but after some cleaning and testing- it appears to show signs mineralization. Is it possibly a bos genus fossil? I’d probably need to alert someone if that were the case…
