Lucid_Bot
I was rooting around in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, Beaver County yesterday and found some interesting plant fossils. They are Pennsylvanian and out of the Glenshaw Formation. Not sure if they're identifiable or if I would need a microscope to ID. Any help is appreciated. Lycopods trunks and stigmaria must have shed layers with rootlets which had been abscised, and the wrinkly texture appears to show faint traces of rootlets.
connorp
The second one with the randomly arranged scars is Stigmarioides. The first one is very interesting but I'm not sure.
