This tooth has always been described as nano . but I found that the both sides of the crown were not pinched, the base of the tooth was obviously pinched on the tongue side, and the other side (lip side) did not seem to be pinched. There is a little root on the tooth bottom (the pinch on both sides of the nano is for the crown?)

The mesial ridge extends to 2/3 of the crown

the fossil from powder county HCFM

CH:5cm CBL:2cm CBW:1.2cm DC:2.5/mm

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated

The tooth fits the morphology of a Nanotyrannus.  The preservation of the base on that side is not the best might be  affecting the look

I see, based on morphology, I am more inclined to this is nano, but I have a little doubt about the theory of base. Thank you:)

Hi, Morning Sir.

can I ask why its morphology more like Nano instead of T.rex.

From the previous photos, it can be observed that this tooth should be a complete crown with a small part of the root.

And in the last photo, we can see it just one pinch at left hand side not for both side.

Therefore, it could be a maxilla tooth from Juve or sub rex?

Thanks for u help

have a good day

From Chris

The long and slender shape coupled with very fine serrations point to Nanotyrannus T rex teeth this size typically have a much more robust and rounded tip along with larger serrations
