Albertosaurus

This is an Albertosaurus tooth in the matrix. Below this matrix is a hadrosaurs rib, the fossils comes from Drumheller ,Alberta, Canada

There are special patterns on the enamel.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Tooth is as advertised, nice colors.  Not sure about that bone the tooth is on does not look like a hadrosaur rib if that matters.  Since this is from Alberta make sure they provide you a disposition number.

@TroodonI asked the dealer again, but the information was not so detailed. The dealers in Hong Kong rarely paid attention to the location, only the states and formation. When I entered the forum, I found that the exact place was very important.

I post some bone photos with better light.

Bone actually looks more like the end of an ischium.

You need to educate the dealers in HK. :D Knowing that this tooth came from Drumheller pointed to the Horseshoe Canyon Formation where Albertosaurus is found.   Locality is one of the most important pieces of information you need to know in identification
