jacob86795
I added this claw to my collection from a trade and was wondering what species it might be
Troodon
Only a few claws from the Kem Kem Group are identifiable to family level and none to a genus or species. Most like this one are indeterminate. We've discussed this morphology of claw before, believe its theropod but its uncertain what its from. The KK has more questions than answers. jacob86795
Well if it helps the claw also came with a tooth that was found next to the claw, could this possibly help with an id?
Troodon
This claw is indeterminate. Those two items are most likely not associated as is most of the material found in the KK. Your dealing with Deltaic sediments which does not lend itself to associated material. Why we know so little from that deposit. FYI, just like claws there are no teeth that can be assigned to a genus or species some can be assigned to a family level but lots are indeterminate.
