Tooth? From skull. mosasaur or plesiosaur? SD Pierre shale

Found possible skull but still unearthed. This point fell off which had others in a row, like a jaw. I took a pic before gluing it and plastering it up.

 

Sorry for poor pic. Wondering if anyone can tell if it's tooth. And if so from what. Thanks

Not a diagnostic angle and am not seeing any enamel. So impossible to say without better photographs or maybe photographs of the suspected skull in total. There does seem to be a concentric patterns at the base of the supposed crown, though, which might point towards a tooth. But, as said, better photographs are needed.

Thanks, I hope to understand what I found better in a few months. It was on end of 5ft spine so hoping skull material.

Turns out it was a tooth and I cleaned off the skull parts but it's all fossilized into clumped poorly. Still cool to find spine and head together.
