Found this in a load of river rock delivered to my home in Omaha, Nebraska.  Tried to find where the river rock came from but no luck.  About the size of a large walnut.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like petrified wood from Arizona. Has the exact color banding found on those specimens.

I think it shows the characteristics of banded chert or jasper.  It's a nice looking rock.

Although it's just a rock, your last photo is beautiful, it has nice colors and it reminded me of an Indian motif of an eagle's head
