Florida Fossil Vert or Something for ID

This was found with some shells and stone pushed up on a sand bar by hurricane Nicole.  Here are some photos of the object.  Looks like maybe an atlas vert, but I don't know.  It is a little asymmetrical left to right but the photos probably exaggerates that.

Certainly seems consistent with an atlas vert (even if possibly slightly deformed in preservation). We'll see if someone recognizes this.

Cheers.

I saw this when it first posted and meant to reply, but then it escaped me, sorry.  I don't have a definitive ID, but we can narrow down the choices.  At 3" wide it is the right size for a small deer or large dog sized animal.  Looks to be a mammal to me.  I only have a few modern examples of that size to compare and we can rule out dog (they are not that long front to back).  Deer is not too far off in general shape but has some differences and cow is similar shaped but of course larger.  If it is fossil, that expands the range of possibilities beyond my collection, but think of mammals in the general size I suggested.

I do not know my terrestrial mammal atlases, but it is one (e.g. not marine mammal), and think Harry is right, and agree broadly with some kind of ungulate. Deer is reasonable because it seems a bit too dainty for a tapir.
