As with many Mazon Creek pieces, a lot is left up to interpretation and imagination. Looking to see what people think about this piece.

I think it is a poorly preserved shrimp.

Very interesting. I think @fiddlehead should take a look at this one.

I agree with Rob. Centipedes, millipedes and insects have a single pair of antenna. Shrimp-like animals have 2 pairs of dissimilar antenna. What I can make out, there is one pair of short antenna and what appears to be another long and thin antenna. So a shrimp-like animal would be my guess also.

Not seeing segments...could this be a weird shell-less gastropod or gnathivoran or something else similar?
