The cute camel
Hi everyone, found this fossil in limestone area in United Arab Emirates which was formed 66-74 mya, according to local geology museum. Not sure what it could be but looks very pretty for sure This fossil was found on the ground in sandy areas where bivalves and small shells are found quite abundantly. Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. Looks more like a bryozoan or sponge, to me. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Rockwood
I think the geometry of coral is there. The scale does make me wonder though.
FranzBernhard
Hard to tell. Do you see any internal structures in the pits? 5 minutes ago, Rockwood said: The scale does make me wonder though. Too small? These corallites are about one mm and there are some corals with very small corallites out there. But well, I don´t see any septa etc. Franz Bernhard 1

TqB
It looks like Porosphaera globularis, a calcisponge. 3 2 Tarquin
