Is it worth taking it home ?

Recommended Posts

I found the following fossils hunting the Nicolet River Formation (Upper Ordovician). The layer where the specimens are is really friable, which makes them really fragile to remove, so I will have to remove a large piece of rock as a support. They measure approximately 2 and 1 inches respectively.

I have two questions:

1. What is it ?

2. Is it worth taking it home?

Rusophycus maybe? At least that's what the first and second photo look like to me, surrounded by some other trace fossils

Interesting hypothesis, I googled it and found the following interesting image

Rusophycus - Alchetron, The Free Social Encyclopedia

It's logical, I found a lot of burrows there

Thanks!
