Andrea marotta
Hi everyone! I got this tooth. Comes from Niger. Could it be Suchomimus? or is it croc? Thanks! Andrea marotta
Unfortunately, the seller was unable to tell me the exact location. Don't see serration (could be abraded?)
Troodon
The beaded carina (not serrations) is very visible in you last photo as well as the longitudinal ridges in the photo above it so its not Crocodilian. Thank you. It's most likely Suchomimus but without a provenance I cannot definitively say its one. Just an FYI the most important item in identification of teeth is Locality and Formation so avoid buying teeth without them if you are looking for an ID. So I would identify this tooth as an indet Baryonychinae
Andrea marotta
Thanks! So, beyond the provenance, can we say that it's not Crocodilian? What could it be? too many options knowing nothing else?

Andrea marotta
Sorry. I didn't see the end of the message.. Troodon
There are other indeterminate jurassic age Baryonychinae from the Tiourarén Fm and possibly even the Irhazer Shale of Niger. So while your tooth most likely is from the Elrhaz Fm its not certain. 1
Andrea marotta
And why not stolokrosuchus?
