Morrison osteoderm?

Hi All,

This thing comes from the Morrison formation in Crook county, Wyoming. It's about 2.25 x 1" x 3/8". Any thoughts on what it is? With the veins on both sides, I'm wondering if it's an osteoderm.

Thanks!!

@Troodon

Yes, pic3 is an edge. They go: front, Back, Side1, Side2, Top, Bottom

Would any other pics help?

For some reason video don't do well on my phone or tablet but the stills are still the best way to ID specimens.   Still same opinion.

From what I have seen here (pix and video) I don't think this is a bone of any kind.  The color is certainly atypical for Morrison Fm bones.  Not saying impossible, but uncommon, and I see no bone texture on any surface.  (99% of Morrison bones are black, turning blue-gray after exposure to el Sol).

@jpc @Troodon

I assume plate armor like a Stegosaurus would also have some hollowy bone characteristics then? There's a subtle but present bit of tongue-sticking. Anything else I can try?

ALSO, I found it in a Morrison mystery box that appeared very Morrisony with respect to the matrix and bone chunks. Nothing like the HC box I got. Morrison was way rockier and harder to work through.

the thing running diagonally in the rock in your third picture is intriguing.  Can we see a close-up of that?

@jpc Here's a picture of that and a picture from the same position but on the opposite side.
