roachcoach
Hello all, While hunting arrowheads in Valencia County New Mexico, I stumbled across this rock (photo attached). Not sure what to make of it. Am hoping someone might be able to determine whether this is indeed a fossil and, if so, what exactly it might be? Thanks so much in advance. Jo A
Not an expert but that’s definitely looks like a fossil. Sure someone here will give you an answer. Edited December 22, 2022 by Jo A
Rockwood
The stratification seems to be consistent through both textures. This makes it tough to imagine it being a fossil. That said, it does appear to be an isolated feature.
