Fossil Identity

It would help to have information and history provided by you. Where was it found. What geologic period is the area known for. Any other fossils found at the site? What size is it?  I suspect an ammonite in a concretion but I am unfamiliar with fossils from the UK.

It's definitely a water-worn ammonite. No question about that. But if you want to learn more about it you'll need to follow up on the above requests for more info.
