holdinghistory
I was working on sorting through large group of amber I recently acquired, and this one struck me as interesting. I think I have seen this insect before, but having a hard time placing it. Raptorial legs, and an interesting snout/mouth piece. Any ideas?
PFOOLEY
My first thought was it looks something like an Assassin bug...I see them around here in the summer, on the lavender bushes, hunting the honeybees. 1 "I am glad I shall never be young without wild country to be young in. holdinghistory
Thanks! I can definitely see the similarities. I have had assassin bugs in amber before, just never this small :-).
